Private-Session Booking and Cancellation Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective October 1, 2026
1. Private Sessions
A private session is a one-on-one or small private firearm skills and safety session with a KCR instructor at KCR’s range facility. Instruction is tailored to the participant’s goals and experience level, from first-time shooters to experienced shooters seeking focused skill development.
A private session is not a substitute for a permit or licensing course where one is required by law.
2. Pricing
Private sessions are priced at $40 per hour, with a two-hour minimum. A standard two-hour session for one participant is therefore $80.
A second participant may join an already-booked session for an additional $40, making a two-hour session for two participants $120 total. The second participant must be arranged in advance and have reasonably compatible goals.
Three or more participants are not sold as a private session. Groups of three or more may be directed to small-group training, custom training, or standard class pricing.
Additional training time beyond the two-hour minimum is charged at $40 per hour.
Prices may change. The price in effect when a session is booked governs that session.
3. What Is Included
The session price includes:
• Use of KCR’s range facility for the scheduled session;
• Instructor-led firearm skills and safety instruction; and
• Standard targets.
Basic eye and ear protection is provided when needed and available. Participants are encouraged to bring their own properly fitting protection.
4. Separate Charges
Firearm rental, KCR-supplied ammunition, additional training time, specialized instruction outside the core session, gunsmithing, optic installation, and product purchases are separate charges.
Each separate charge is quoted to the customer and must be accepted before it is incurred. No rental or additive charge is applied without the customer's agreement.
5. Reserving a Session
Full payment is required to reserve a private session.
A session is Confirmed only when all three conditions are satisfied:
1. The date and time have been agreed;
2. Full payment has been received; and
3. The required forms have been completed.
A payment receipt or automated booking notification alone does not confirm a session. KCR sends confirmation after all three conditions are complete.
6. Required Forms and Participant Information
Each participant must complete KCR’s standard participant intake form and sign KCR’s standard range safety and liability waiver before any hands-on or range participation.
A participant who has not completed the required forms and waiver may not participate. Completion of the required forms and waiver is a precondition to all range and hands-on activity.
7. Safety and Readiness Gate
No firearm handling or live fire occurs until the instructor confirms:
• Payment;
• Completed forms and waiver;
• Participant identity;
• Completion of the safety briefing;
• Required eye and ear protection;
• Equipment readiness;
• Site and range conditions; and
• Authorization to proceed.
The instructor may pause or stop a session at any time for a safety reason. The instructor’s safety decision is final.
8. Participant Rescheduling and Cancellation
A participant may reschedule one time with at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time, without an additional charge.
A cancellation or rescheduling request made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or a failure to attend, may result in forfeiture of the payment for that session, subject to KCR’s discretion.
KCR does not charge an additional repeat-cancellation fee beyond the rescheduling and cancellation terms already stated in this policy.
KCR may make exceptions based on individual circumstances. Participants should contact KCR as soon as possible to discuss any cancellation, delay, or emergency.
9. Cancellation by KCR or Weather
If KCR must cancel or cannot hold a session, including because of weather or range conditions, the participant may choose either:
• Rescheduling to another available date; or
• A full refund or credit.
10. Minimum Age and Parent or Guardian Presence
Participants must be at least 12 years old. A parent or legal guardian must remain present throughout the entire private training session for every participant under 18 and complete the required consent and waiver documentation.
11. Late Arrival and Participation
Please contact KCR as soon as possible if you expect to arrive late. The instructor will determine whether participation can proceed safely and meaningfully, considering the instruction being provided, material already covered, remaining time, required safety briefings, and the participant's ability to complete any applicable written or skills assessments. Late arrival does not automatically extend the scheduled session or guarantee completion or qualification. If participation is no longer practical, or the participant prefers to reschedule, KCR will consider a rescheduling request case by case under the existing cancellation and rescheduling terms. Any exception, credit, or additional payment requirement will be explained before the customer agrees to a new booking.
12. Firearm and Ammunition Purchases During a Session
Any firearm or ammunition purchased in connection with a private session is subject to the same eligibility, identification, age, and transfer requirements that apply to any other KCR sale.
KCR does not sell ammunition to anyone under 21. This is KCR’s company policy and is stricter than federal requirements. Valid government-issued photo identification is required. For ordinary ammunition sales, staff inspect identification and do not routinely copy or retain identification images.
Firearm purchases require the applicable identification, paperwork, FDLE firearm-eligibility/background-check process, waiting-period review, and other transfer requirements. These requirements apply regardless of participation in a private session.
13. Personal Information
KCR collects participant information to:
• Schedule and administer sessions;
• Complete required forms and waivers;
• Meet safety and legal requirements;
• Process payment;
• Communicate about the session; and
• Respond to customer questions or requests.
KCR’s separate Privacy Policy provides additional information about collection, use, retention, sharing, security, and participant rights.
14. Relationship to Other KCR Policies
This policy governs private firearm skills and safety sessions.
KCR’s separate Shipping, Pickup, Returns, and Cancellations policy governs group-class bookings, merchandise, returns, and other cancellations. The group-class cancellation terms do not replace this private-session policy.
KCR’s range rules and signed waiver apply to all range activity.
15. Updates and Governing Law
KCR may update this policy. The version and effective date at the top identify the current version, and the version in effect when a session is booked governs that session.
Florida law governs this policy without limiting rights or remedies that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
